Performing the patch LAN connection operation assumes that the user has administrator access to the computer's resources. No additional software required.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that the connection to the Internet service provider, the status of which is indicated by the indicators of the cable or DSL modem, is established, or turn off and then turn on the device.
Step 2
Bring up the context menu of the "Network" icon in the lower right part of the computer monitor screen and select the "Diagnostics and Repair" command to perform the operation of checking the LAN connection.
Step 3
Follow the instructions in the wizard.
Step 4
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the Windows operating system and go to the "Control Panel" item to carry out the procedure for correcting the local network connection.
Step 5
Open the "Network Connections" node by double-clicking and open the context menu of the "LAN or High-Speed Internet" item by right-clicking.
Step 6
Specify the "Fix" command and click OK to confirm the command.
Step 7
Check if the username and password are entered correctly when you receive error 691 or enable the required connection when error 769 is displayed.
Step 8
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to fix error 651 "The modem reported an error."
Step 9
Enter cmd in the Open field and click OK to confirm the execution of the command to run the command line tool.
Step 10
Enter netsh winsock reset in the command prompt text box and press the Enter function key to execute the command.
Step 11
Enable the desired LAN connection when you see error 633 "Modem or other communication device is already in use or not configured," or enable TCP / IP when you see error 720 "Unable to connect to remote computer."
