Instructions
Step 1
Among the well-known social networks, sound notifications are used by Mail.ru Agent and Vkontakte Dialogues. Mail-agent is available in 2 versions: web-version and software "Mail.ru Agent". In the web version, disabling this function is impossible, this is due to the minimum set of settings for this service. But in the computer version of the program there is such an opportunity: open the main window of the program and click on the speaker icon, which is adjacent to the right side of the window.
Step 2
For the Vkontakte Dialogues service, sound notifications are disabled in the settings of your personal profile. To do this, go to your profile and click the "My settings" link in the left menu of the open window. Go to the Alerts tab and uncheck the Enable Sound Alerts box. Please note that deactivating this feature will disable audio alerts for all sections of your profile (wall posts, comments, etc.).

If you use the Ya. Online service, which allows you to receive notifications about new messages from services such as Yandex, Mail, Rambler and Gmail, you need to change the program settings. To do this, go to the main window of the program and click the top menu "Settings". Go to the General tab and uncheck Enable Sounds.
Step 4
For Internet messengers of the QIP family, there is a number of options for setting up notifications, including sound ones. For example, it is not at all necessary to completely disable the notification, because the sound volume can simply be turned down. To do this, in the main window, press the menu button and select the "Settings" item.
Step 5
In the window that opens, go to the "Sounds" tab. Check the box "With volume control" and select the desired volume. To completely disable sound notifications, check the box "Disable sounds". Click the OK button to close the window.
