Sooner or later, the ink in a color printer will run out and it will be impossible to print. There is a way out of this situation: you need to change the toner, which is in the printer cartridge. This is a simple operation that you will notice in just a few minutes.
Instructions
Step 1
Lift the drum unit assembly out of the printer. To do this, open the cover. The drum unit contains a cartridge. To remove it, lower the lever. The system will be unlocked and you can remove the device you are interested in. Place a piece of paper or napkin on the table to protect the countertop from paint stains.
Step 2
To make toner, place the drum unit on the prepared piece of paper. If ink gets on your hands or any area of your skin, wash it off immediately with cold water. Pay attention to the proper disposal of waste such as toner cartridge. It must be placed either in the aluminum bag in which it was sold, or, in extreme cases, in a tight plastic bag. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Step 3
Unpack the toner cartridge. You can buy it at any computer store or org store. technology. You should unpack the cartridge just before installing it into the printer, because when the sealed package is broken, the cartridge will begin to dry out.
Step 4
Grasp the cartridge with both hands and gently shake it from side to side several times to distribute the toner evenly. Place a ready-to-use cartridge in the drum unit. When fixing it, you should hear a characteristic click. If the cartridge is installed correctly, you will see the lock lever automatically cocked.
Step 5
Locate the corona wire inside the drum unit. Clean it up. To do this, slide the blue foot to the left several times. Return the blue tab to its original position before placing the drum unit back in the printer. Place the drum unit with a new cartridge in the printer and close the cover. If you intend to replace the cartridge soon after the printer is finished, be aware that some parts of the cartridge may become hot. Wait for them to cool down and replace the toner.
