A printer is a device capable of making a material out of a virtual one. It will print any image and text on the desired paper format in a matter of seconds. This intelligent machine, built by human hands, is capable of connecting to any personal computer. But like any other machine, the printer needs refueling.

Necessary

  • - crosshead screwdriver;
  • - regular toner;
  • - dry silk fabric;
  • - syringe;
  • - liquid toner;
  • - respirator.

Instructions

Step 1

In a laser printer, it is much more difficult to replace toner than in an inkjet printer. This is due to its design. To refuel the laser printer, open the cover and remove the cartridge. You won't be able to put toner into it just like that. To do this, you need to disassemble it. Unscrew all side screws so that the shafts and drum unit can be removed. The latter should be handled more carefully. It should not be touched with bare hands. You can take it out by the side edges. Then, wipe off the remaining toner with a dry silk cloth and lay on a flat surface. Almost immediately after the drum is a magnetic shaft. Underneath is a container for toner. When printing, the magnetic roller takes ink powder from this container and evenly applies it to the drum, and from it the picture is printed on the paper. The magnetic roller must also be removed and cleaned. Shake the rest of the old toner out of the container thoroughly. Be careful. Toner is very volatile and harmful to health.

Step 2

This procedure is best carried out in a closed non-living room with a respirator on. After getting rid of the old dye, add a new one. Please note that each brand of printer has its own specific toner. Once filled, reassemble the cartridge and insert into the printer. Later models of cartridges are equipped with a special chip that monitors the ink level. And even after refueling, the printer will still show that it is empty. To fix this problem, you should reflash the chip. There are special programs for this. All this applies only to black paint. If the printer is in color, then you will either have to contact a service where specialists will refuel everything with their equipment, or buy new cartridges with color ink.

Step 3

You can refuel the inkjet printer without disassembling anything. Make a small hole in the black ink cassette. Using the most ordinary syringe, fill the cassette and screw a screw of a suitable diameter into the hole so that nothing superfluous gets there. As for the cassette with colored paint, it is impossible to fill it with such a handicraft method. You will need to purchase a new color cartridge from a store. Unlike laser printers, inkjet printers are rarely equipped with such ink control chips. Therefore, after refueling, no additional manipulations are required. You can safely print. Even if only a black cartridge is filled in a color inkjet printer, it will still work, but as a black and white one.
