Choosing a computer is pretty simple. To do this, you need to know what characteristics you should pay attention to and what you shouldn't overpay for.

Instructions
Step 1
The processor is the brain of the computer. The main parameters of the processor are the frequency (GHz) and the number of cores. Multiply these 2 parameters by each other. If the result is below 3 GHz, the computer will be terribly slow. It is desirable that the final performance is at least 6 GHz for a home or 9 GHz for a gaming computer.

Step 2
Random access memory is a storage of temporary data that is deleted when the computer is turned off.
Memory has two main parameters - size and type. Choose only DDR3 type, it is the fastest and, surprisingly, the cheapest. A 4GB volume is enough for an office or home computer, and a gaming one will need from 8 to 16 GB.

Step 3
The hard drive is the storage for your data. HDDs have 2 main parameters - capacity and interface. Choose the volume based on your own preferences. For most users, 320GB is enough (that's about 75 DVD movies). Choose the interface SATA-II or SATA-III, there is practically no difference between them.

Step 4
Pay attention to the availability of additional devices you need:
1. DVD drive
2. CardReader (for reading memory cards)
3. Sound card
4. Separate graphics card (for gaming computers)
