Instructions
Step 1
Close all Firefox browser windows. This must be done so that the settings of the old user (that is, you) do not interfere with the creation of a new profile. Call the "Profile Manager" with the command firefox.exe -p entered in the "Run" line of the main menu of the operating system. If the command is not recognized, enter the full path to the browser startup file.
Step 2
The "Profile Manager" window will open. It consists of two parts: a list of existing profiles and control buttons. Click on the "Create" button to start the procedure for registering a new profile.
Step 3
In the next window, specify a name for the new profile and specify the location for storing it by clicking the "Select folder" button. It is worth saving the profile so that after a certain time you can remember where it is stored. It is also worth noting that you need to save in a separate folder and, just in case, keep a copy on a portable device.
Step 4
In the list of created profiles, select the new profile you just created. Check the box next to "Don't ask me at startup" if you want to use the new default profile. Other profiles will be accessed through the "Profile Manager".
Step 5
You can transfer your settings from your old profile to your new one using Firefox's help. So information about the connected certificates is stored in the cert8.db file, content-prefs.sqlite contains your settings for visited pages, places.sqlite - bookmarks and history of visits. It is difficult to register a profile, the main thing is to have the basic skills of working on a personal computer. For beginners, as a rule, there are special instructions built into the programs, so if something does not work out for you, refer to the instructions.
