Large print is one of the many ways to highlight the main word or thought in the text. Depending on whether you are working in a word processing document or typing text into a blog, there are several ways to print large letters.
Instructions
Step 1
When working in a document, simply press the “Caps Lock” key. After that, continue to enter text - all letters will be in capital letters. This key is on the left, between the Shift and Tab keys.
Step 2
Another way to enter large letters is to use a larger font size. This option is adjusted in the top toolbar of the text editor. Find the name of the font, and a little to the left - the number. It corresponds to the height of the letters in pixels. Select the piece of text you want to enlarge. Click on the number field and enter a new, higher value. Press the Enter key to confirm your selection.
Step 3
In blogs, changing the font size, in particular its increase, is regulated either by the “Caps Lock” key (then all the text will consist of capital letters), as is the case with a text editor, or by using special tags. Tags are entered at the stage of text creation before and after the segment selected by the size. Before you start working with HTML tags, set the editing mode to “HTML” (not a visual editor or “Rich Text”). Otherwise, the tags will not enlarge the text, but will simply appear in the finished message.
Step 4
Place the first enlargement tag in front of the text you want to enlarge:. The number 3 corresponds to an increase in the font by 3 pixels. If you need a different magnification, put the corresponding number.
Step 5
At the end of the snippet, add a: tag. Regardless of the increase in the font, this tag does not change and no additional characters need to be entered into it.
Step 6
Another way to enter large letters in blog text is to set the font to a specific size that is larger than the rest of the text. To do this, convert the first tag accordingly:. The number corresponds to the size of the font in pixels. Replace it with any other if desired. The second tag remains the same and is placed at the end of the selection.
