Before you can cut anything in Adobe Photoshop, you need to select something first. And since the cutting process is not laborious, this article can be considered a kind of overview of tools for selecting objects.

Step 1
First, think about what you will replace what you cut out. For example, let it be another object, or you can simply paint over this place. Otherwise, there will be nothing at all instead of the cutout.
Step 2
Launch Adobe Photoshop and open the required photo: click the "File"> "Open" menu item (or click the Ctrl + O hotkeys), select the desired picture and click "Open". In the list of layers, double-click on the background layer and in the window that appears, immediately click "OK". The background will turn into a layer. Several tools can be used to cut objects. Step 3
Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (hotkey M, toggle between adjacent elements Shift + M). Use it if the object to be cut is rectangular. Use this tool to create a frame in your document. The borders of the frame will take the form of "walking ants". The space within these boundaries is the selection area. To cut out the space inside the marquee, press Delete. If the object you are cutting is ellipsoidal, use the adjacent Oval Margin tool. It can be accessed in the same way: via the M hotkey or, if another tool is currently active, via Shift + M.
Step 4
Select the Lasso Tool (L, Shift + L). It has three varieties. The first one is simply "Lasso", with its help you can select (and then cut out) arbitrary areas of the image. To create a selection area, hold down the left mouse button, draw a contour with it and close it at the end. The second is "Rectangular Lasso", it is used if the sides of the selected object are straight and even. The third is "Magnetic Lasso", its peculiarity is that in the process of selection, the contour independently magnetizes to the boundaries of the selection, you just need to keep the cursor close to them. Cutting the selected object is carried out in the same way - by pressing the Delete key.
