Step 1
So, to work with a computer, you can use assemblies already known and tested by thousands of users, but if you want to create something of your own, you should not deny yourself. Many assemblies contain programs that are used by only a fraction of the users. You can build your system based on the existing ones, isolating all unnecessary elements in your opinion.
Step 2
Use the Novo Builder system tool to build the distribution kit. Install this program to the disk, then run it by clicking on its icon in the section with system programs. In the window that opens, go to the Preset block and select the appropriate option. To compile your own distribution from the very beginning, it is recommended to select the "Base distribution" item.
Step 3
To enable the ability to obtain all programs using the same tool, you need to fill in the sources.list file, which contains a list of repositories (analogous to file repositories or torrent trackers).
Step 4
Also in this program, you can automatically set the theme and other less significant settings, which can be changed later after installing the distribution you are creating.
Step 5
To complete the imaging of your operating system, go to the Build block and click the Build Base button. It is worth noting that this process can take a significant part of the time, so please be patient.
Step 6
After building the base system image, go to Post Build. Here you can install or remove software products using the Synaptic manager. After configuring the list of applications, all that remains is to click the Chroot GUI and Build ISO buttons. After creating the disk image, the distribution will move to the root directory / home.
