Step 1
Start by choosing bots for the version of Counter-Strike you are using. Please be aware that some of these programs only work with Steam or non-Steam versions of the game. This is due to the slight difference in working files.
Step 2
If you are only interested in bots with well-developed artificial intelligence, use the Real Bot or ZBot programs. They are suitable for integration into both versions of Counter-Strike.
Step 3
Download the archive containing the installation files for one of these utilities. Unpack the contents of the archive. Run the installer and specify the folder where the game files are located. If you are installing bots on top of a non-Steam version of the game, then specify the cstrike folder.
Step 4
To implement bots when using Steam, open the directory with the installed program, go to the steamapp folder, select the desired user. Now go to the directory with the Counter-Strike game and specify the language interface used: cstrike or cstrike_russian.
Step 5
Run Counter-strike after installing the bots. Create your own game server. To do this, open the New Game menu. Adjust gameplay options. To do this, select a map, specify the maximum number of players and change additional options.
Step 6
After loading the map, open the game menu by pressing the H button. Move your cursor over the Bot menu and select Add. Select the side for which a new virtual player will be added. To create a large number of opponents, enter the commands mp_autoteambalance 10 and mp_limitteams 10.
Step 7
If you prefer to use the console during gameplay, open this menu and enter the command bot_add_t or bot_add_t. It should be noted that the ability to add bots is also present in a multiplayer game.
