You don't need an internet connection to play Counter-Strike. To train your playing skills, you can use a computer program that creates virtual opponents.
Necessary
- - Counter-strike;
- - zbot.
Instructions
Step 1
Start by choosing the version of the bots you want to install. The undisputed leaders in this area are the zbot and realbot programs. Find and download one of these packages. Pay attention to the compatibility of the selected type with your version of the Counter-Strike game.
Step 2
Remember that some bot versions are designed to be installed only on the non-steam version of the game. Consider this feature when choosing a program.
Step 3
Now close the Counter-Strike game and navigate to the contents of the folder where your browser saved the downloaded files. Use WinZip or 7-Zip. Extract the program files from the archive.
Step 4
Now copy the unpacked files and directories to the cstrike folder. It should be located in the root directory of the Counter-Strike game installed. If you are dealing with a steam version of the game, go to the following folder: steamsteamappsusernamecstrike.
Step 5
If, while copying information, a menu appears informing you that there is a similar file, select Replace All. Now open Counter-Strike. Select the New Game menu and start the game server.
Step 6
Use console commands to add bots. Open this menu and enter bot_add_t or bot_add_ct. As you understand, the indicated teams add one player to the indicated team. To change the difficulty level of bots, enter the bot_difficulty 0-100 command.
Step 7
If you plan to play alone against a large number of opponents, disable automatic team balancing and the limit for the difference in the number of players. To do this, enter the commands mp_autoteambalance 0 and mp_limitteams 0.
Step 8
Some versions of bots support the ability to add players through the help menu. Press the H button and select the zbot item in the menu that appears. After opening a new window, select Add T or Add CT.
