Surely, you already know that the Windows operating system can be installed not only from a CD, but also from a flash drive. To autorun a system recorded on a USB flash drive, you need to take several additional steps to create a boot sector on a flash drive. The boot sector can be made by yourself both on a USB flash drive and on a portable hard drive.

Instructions

Step 1

After starting the program, click the "File" menu, then select the "Open" item. In the window that opens, specify the path to the image of the installation disk with the system. Click the "Open" button.

Step 2

In the main window of the program, click the Boot menu, then select the "Burn Hard Disk Image" item. First, you will be prompted to format your flash media. By default, any flash media has the FAT or FAT32 file system. We are interested in the NTFS system. Therefore, we will format it to NTFS. Pay attention to the choice of the type of formatting. Quick formatting is undesirable, uncheck the box next to this item.

Step 3

After formatting, the Write Disk Image window will appear. Image recording will start after clicking on the "Burn" button. Our flash media is ready. There are some small changes left to make.

Step 4

Select all files on the USB flash drive, right-click, select the "Properties" context menu item. In the window that opens, check the box next to the "Hidden" item. Then click the "Apply" button. You will see another window in which you will be asked to choose how to hide files: apply hiding to the selected items or to the selected items and their attachments. Choose the second option, you need to hide everything that will be on the flash drive.

Step 5

After these steps, restart your computer. While the BIOS boots, press the function key F12 (for laptop) or Delete (for selecting the boot device in the computer). You must choose to start USB-HDD.

Step 6

If the download is successful, then you can write any documents or other files to this flash drive, the system will not be erased from this media, because all files will be hidden.
