PC users often face problems downloading applications. In some cases, the programs display an error message, in others, they simply do not start. To deal with a problem, you need to identify its cause.

Step 1
See what happens when you download the app. If you receive an error message when doing this, write it down and save it. Try to find out the nature of the problem by using the Internet, the Microsoft website, or the system help.

Remember what actions you performed with the system earlier. Probably the launching problems were due to a conflict with other applications that were installed later. Often antivirus does not allow opening this or that program, considering it dangerous for the system. In this case, you can try disabling protection while the application is running.
Step 3
System viruses can also cause applications to fail to load. If the program started normally before, it is possible that a virus has now entered it, preventing it from opening. Check application startup files with antivirus to identify the source of the problem.
Step 4
Make sure your computer is configured to meet the system requirements for the application to function properly. If they are lower, it is quite possible that this was the cause of the conflict. Usually, a suitable configuration is indicated on the application disc or in the description if the program was downloaded from the Internet.
Step 5
Update your system drivers. To do this, right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties". Click on the Device Manager tab. Alternately click on the system components and on the "Driver" tab - the "Update" button. The system will scan the Internet for newer drivers and install them.
Step 6
Examine the application folder carefully. It may contain information about additional steps required to start the program, special drivers, patches, add-ons, and other aids.
