There are varieties of DSL modems that have multiple LAN ports. This feature of the equipment allows you to connect a certain number of computers and laptops to a local network.

Instructions
Step 1
Connect your DSL modem to AC power and turn on this unit. Use two patch cords to connect your desktop computers to the LAN ports of the modem.
Step 2
Turn on both computers and configure the settings for the desired network cards. Open the properties of the local modem connection of the first computer. Navigate to the TCP / IP Internet Protocol Settings dialog box.
Step 3
Open the instructions for the modem. Find out the static IP address of this device. Enter this value in the IP Address field of the dialog box, replacing the last digit.
Step 4
Follow the same procedure to set up the connection of the second computer with the modem. Naturally, the last segment of the IP address also needs to be changed.
Step 5
After completing all described operations, restart the modem and computers. If you want to provide Internet access for both PCs, open the web interface of the network equipment settings. Access to the desired menu can be obtained by entering the IP-address of the modem in the url-field of the browser.
Step 6
Go to the WAN menu and configure the server connection. Use the data provided to you by the provider when concluding the contract. Remember to enable Connect DSL Automatically. Uncheck the Enable DHCP Server checkbox.
Step 7
Now connect the telephone line cable to the DSL port of the modem. Remember that using a splitter will reduce the level of interference in the network and will allow you to connect a landline phone at the same time as a modem.
Step 8
Reboot your network equipment and open the Status menu. Check if your internet connection is active. Try to access web resources from both computers. Make sure your PCs are still part of the same local network.
