The Windows messaging service, originally intended for receiving and transmitting administrative notifications and notifications about events of various subsystems (printing, power management, etc.), with the spread of the Internet began to be used for sending spam. Therefore, in modern versions of Windows, this service is disabled by default. However, sometimes, for one purpose or another, it is necessary to enable the messenger service.
