There are several proven methods for gaining access to a password-protected computer. The choice depends on the type of password set and the operating system installed.
Necessary
Crosshead screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1
In the situation when you need to bypass the password set entirely on the entire computer, you cannot do without technical intervention. Turn off the computer and remove the left wall of the system unit.
Step 2
Examine the structure of the motherboard and find a small washer-shaped battery on it. Remove it from the slot. Use a screwdriver to close the contacts to which it rested.
Step 3
Replace the battery. Turn on your computer. As you can see, the password entry window did not appear. After removing the battery and closing the contacts, you applied the factory BIOS settings.
Step 4
It is a little more difficult to access the operating system when you need to enter a password to enter it. Click the Reset button to restart your computer. When a window appears on the screen containing a list of possible boot options, press the F8 key.
Step 5
From the list that appears, select "Windows Safe Mode" and press the Enter key. In the next menu, select any item (with or without USB support). Wait for the download of Safe Mode to complete.
Step 6
A window with a list of existing users will be displayed on the screen. Select the "Administrator" account that was not displayed when the computer was booted in normal mode.
Step 7
Open the start menu and go to the control panel. Select the User Accounts menu. Go to "Manage Another Account".
Step 8
You have two options for further action. First, go to the "Create an account" section. Enter your new username and password. Select the Administrators category for this account.
Step 9
Secondly, select one of the existing accounts and go to the "Change password" item. Enter a new password for this user.
Step 10
Restart your computer and select Boot Windows Normally. Log in to the operating system using a new or modified account.
