Step 1
Agnitum Outpost Firewall is configured through the corresponding menu item of the program. Application protection is always running and activated in the background, which does not interfere with other work at the computer. The program automatically works and performs its functions by analyzing incoming traffic and downloaded files. When a threat occurs, the application automatically notifies the user about the problem.
Step 2
Launch the program window and you will see the settings items, system status and monitoring. Among the options offered, you can see the window for selecting the protection operation mode. The "Block" section allows you to block the computer's Internet connections. The "Block" option is responsible for blocking access to all remote connections, except for those specified in the "Exceptions" field.

By choosing the "Training" option, you manually set the firewall restrictions when starting a particular program. In the "Allow" section, you activate all connections available in the system, except for those that will be denied manually. Through the "Disable" section, absolutely all remote connections are allowed. Changing the operating mode is done in the Policies section, also available by right-clicking in the notification area at the bottom right of the Windows Start menu.

Among the program settings, there is also the "Automatic update" option, which is responsible for downloading new files and databases for the firewall. Activating this function will allow you to monitor the release of new versions of the application. It is desirable that the update be done automatically, as newer versions may add new protection options to improve Outpost's overall performance.
Step 5
There are also additional settings in the program. The "Protect your system" option allows you to activate or deactivate the search status for malicious hacker programs. If you want to control incoming mail attachments, activate the "Filter mail attachments" item and set the scanned file formats by selecting the "Options" section. Activate the "Advertising" section if you want to block advertisements on a particular site. You can also set a password for using the program in the "Options" - "General" menu of the main firewall window.
