The compact disc is a versatile means of storing digital information. However, the process of copying data from a computer to a disk may cause some difficulties for some users.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a CD to be burned. Insert it into your computer drive and wait for it to load.
Step 2
Open the folder with the files you want to copy to disk using Explorer. Select them with the mouse, then right-click on them and select "Copy". Then open the folder of the disc inserted into your computer. Right-click and select "Paste". Wait for the files to be copied.
Step 3
This operation can be done in another way. Select the required files and right-click on them. Select the "Send" item and in the list that appears, specify the drive into which the disc to be burned is inserted. Wait for the end of the copying process.
Step 4
After that, on the pane of the window with the disc, click on the link "Burn data to CD". Set your own disc name if desired. Then press the button to start recording data. Wait until the operation is complete.
Step 5
To write information to the disk, you can use, in addition to the standard operating system tools, one of the specialized programs. Examples are Ahead Nero, Small CD-Writer, etc. Start the selected application.
Step 6
Create a new disc recording project in it. Select the type of data you will be recording. Using the built-in file manager of the program, transfer the necessary files to the application panel containing the data for recording. They can also be transferred using normal drag-and-drop from the explorer window of the operating system.
Step 7
To start recording, click on the corresponding button on the program toolbar. Set the required parameters (check the recorded data, write speed), and then click on the button to start the process. Wait until the disc is written.
