It is not difficult to add gloss to lips, eyes and hair in Photoshop, these techniques can be combined together or used separately.

Step 1
Often when editing portraits, shine is added to the hair, eyes and lips. This makes the image look like a promotional photo. Open the photo you will be working with in Photoshop. Long hair is best for shine. Select the Lasso Tool and select the area of the hair that you want to give shine. Use the Alt + Ctrl + D keyboard shortcut to make the selection even. Use the shortcut Ctrl + J to copy the selection to a new layer.
Step 2
Press Ctrl + L to bring up the Levels dialog box. Move the sliders so that the tone and lightness of the hair changes, simulating a highlight. Set the blending mode of this layer to Exclusion in the Layers palette.
Step 3
Duplicate the layer. Select the Blur Tool with blurred edges and a Strenght of about 10%. Apply a tool to the layer. Set the blending mode of the layer to Linear Dodge. The hair in the photo is now shiny.
Step 4
To make the eyes shine, create a new layer in the Layers palette. Use a small, soft brush and paint a white circle about halfway between the outer border of the iris and the pupil. Run the main menu command Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur. Set the blur radius to about 3-6 pic. Set the layer blending mode to Overlay on the Layers palette. Reduce the opacity of the layer to about 40%.
Step 5
To make the lips shine, select them with any selection tool, for example, Polygonal Lasso or a quick mask (the icon for switching to quick mask mode is located under the color icons in the toolbar). Copy the lips with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C and paste them with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V.
Step 6
Run the main menu command Filter - Artistic - Plastic Warp. Experiment with the options for this filter. After that set the layer blending mode to either Overlay, Lighten, or Screen in the Layers palette. Different lips look better with different blend modes. Reduce the opacity of the layer. Now the lips are shiny and sexy.
