Unfortunately, the graphical interfaces of the current versions of the Opera browser do not have a button that must be pressed to reset all settings to their original state. However, there are still a couple of ways to do this with a few relatively simple operations.
Necessary
Opera browser
Instructions
Step 1
The first option is embedded in the browser itself. In addition to the graphical interface for changing the settings, there is also a configuration editor. To start it, you need to type opera: config in the address bar of the browser and press Enter.
Step 2
In order for the editor to open all its sections and show all the settings, it is necessary to set a mark in the "Show all" checkbox. Opposite each setting in each section there is a button labeled "Default" - you need to press it to reset the setting to its initial state. By clicking the buttons for all the settings, you can return the browser to its original form. Although there is no need to reset absolutely all settings, it is still a rather tedious task for more than a dozen minutes. It is a pity that the manufacturer did not provide one common button for all settings, or at least for the settings of one section.
Step 3
The other way is much simpler, although it cannot be called "gentlemanly" in relation to the browser. First, start Windows Explorer by double-clicking on the "My Computer" shortcut or by pressing the keyboard shortcut CTRL + E.
Step 4
Then open the "Help" section in the browser menu and click the "About" item. In the info section under the "Paths" heading, the first line indicates the location of the file in which Opera stores its settings. You need to select it and copy (CTRL + C).
Step 5
After that, close the browser, and paste the copied path to the operaprefs.ini file (CTRL + V) into the address bar of the explorer. Remove the file name from it and press Enter. Explorer will open the folder where the settings are stored.
Step 6
Find the operaprefs.ini file in the package and delete (or rename). This completes the procedure for resetting the settings to defaults. The next time you start the browser, it will look for the file you deleted, and not finding the lost settings, it will create a new one, in which it will place the default settings.
