Instructions

Step 1

There are two ways to design a frame for photos in Photoshop: make it strictly according to the parameters of the images, or present your creation in the form of a collage. And if in the second case you can experiment with the placement of graphic files and their sizes, then in the first case, an accurate calculation will be required.

Step 2

Select the photos that you want to insert into one frame, and open them in the editor (right-click on the picture "Open with" - "Adobe Photoshop" or in the program select the command "Open as"). They must be either all horizontal or all vertical. For the convenience of handling images, do not open all files in full screen and keep unused ones minimized. Adjust this parameter using the link "Window" - "Arrange" - "Cascade".

Step 3

Use the "Image" - "Image size" commands to bring all the photos to the same parameters. Take, for example, the width as a basis and make it equal to 600 px for all the pictures, do not uncheck the "Maintain aspect ratio" checkbox, otherwise your settings will go wrong and the images will become unnatural in size.

Step 4

Create an underlay, for this go to the "File" section and select "New". In the form that opens, set the sum of the lengths and heights of the photos, then confirm the action.

Step 5

Expand the first photo, select it completely with the Rectangular Marquee Tool, then in the Edit tab, click on Copy. Activate the prepared background for photos with the left mouse button, insert a picture through the "Edit" button. And so repeat with each image.

Step 6

Arrange the photos in the desired order using the Move tool. To do this, on the right panel, which contains the list of layers, select the one you need and move it. Try to avoid gaps.

Step 7

When you have sorted your photos, go back to the right pane and right-click on the Roll Down command.

Step 8

Select the resulting picture along the perimeter (Ctrl + A). From the Edit menu go to Stroke. In the window that opens, set the frame parameters: set the thickness in pixels, color, set the position "Inside".

Step 9

The second way to create a frame. From the right menu, right-click on "Convert to Smart Object". Double-click the left mouse button - a special form will open in front of you. From the left menu, select Stroke and adjust the border settings. Here you can choose not only one color, but also a gradient, as well as a pattern. The "Regulation" should indicate "Inside".

Step 10

To make a frame over the picture, add the required number of pixels in the "Image" - "Canvas size" section. In this case, you can make a frame using the Fill tool or all of the above methods using the Outside parameter.
