Instructions

Step 1

Open the presentation file to which you want to add the music file. After uploading your presentation, go to a slide that should play certain music.

Step 2

In the main upper menu of the program, select the "Insert" tab, and in the "Multimedia Clips" command group located on the right side of the panel, click on the "Sound" button.

Step 3

Then, in the list that opens, click on the "Sound from file" item. After that, in the "Insert Sound" dialog box from the "Folder" drop-down list, select the drive, then the folder where the file of the musical composition to be added to the presentation is located. Then click on the name of the selected file, click the "OK" button. After adding an audio file, a corresponding icon in the form of a yellow speaker appears on the selected slide in the presentation.

Step 4

Next, on the main panel of the Power Point menu, you need to select how the added audio file will be played in the presentation. If you select the "Automatic" button, then the piece of music will start playing automatically after you go to the containing slide. If you click the On Click button, the audio file will start playing after you click the speaker icon on the slide.

Step 5

Click on the speaker icon, the panel "Working with sounds" - "Parameters" will appear in the main menu of the program. The group of commands "Working with sounds" contains functions for configuring the parameters of added music (volume level, playback method and modes, the ability to hide the music icon, etc.).

Step 6

Also, in the panel "Working with sounds" you can select the maximum size of the added sound file. By default, it is 100 KB. If the audio file is larger than the specified size, it must be saved in a separate audio file that is not included in the Power Point file. When transferring a presentation, this file must always be in the same folder with it.
