The clipboard is an area of RAM used for temporary storage of copied or cut information, intended for pasting to any other place.

Step 1
The clipboard is used when copying, cutting and pasting information. This process is not displayed on the screen. Having selected, for example, a piece of text using the "Copy" or "Cut" commands, it can be placed in a specially designated memory cell and stored until required. With the "Insert" command, it can be placed in any other place an unlimited number of times. Using the clipboard, you can copy data of almost any format: text documents, sound, pictures, etc. This data can be read by most programs for Windows, so it is possible to transfer data between completely different documents and applications.
Step 2
For example, you need to copy text from the Internet into a notebook. First, select the desired fragment in the browser. Using the mouse, holding down the left key at the beginning, drag the cursor to the end of the text. The fragment will be highlighted in color. Copy the selection by right-clicking and selecting the desired item from the menu that opens or using the CTRL + C key combination. The text will fit on the clipboard. With the notebook open, right-click and select "Paste" or use the CTRL + V key combination. The fragment of text you need will appear on the notebook page, but it will not be deleted from the clipboard and can be re-pasted into other applications. The information from the clipboard is located in the specially selected file clipbrd.exe in the system folder C: / WINDOWS / system32.
Step 3
The disadvantage of the system clipboard is that it contains no more than one data block. The next time you copy to the clipboard, the old information will be replaced with the new one. If there is a need to transfer many different passages from one document to another, then you will have to copy and paste all the parts in turn.
