Despite the abundance of multiplayer FPS games, Counter-Strike servers are still very popular. The main problem of this game was and will remain cheaters - players who use special programs to gain in-game advantages over others. Such players must be tracked and banned.
Instructions
Step 1
Use plugins for CS-servers that allow you to track the pressing of certain keys from the player. The most common keys used to activate cheats are Delete and Insert. As soon as the plugin detects a keystroke, the player is given a warning, or he is immediately banned for a certain time.
Step 2
Install the MyAC program or similar to your server. This application works passively, allowing only those players who have it installed to the server. The essence of its work is to track the processes affecting the game, and if they are detected, the CS client is closed.
Step 3
Offer players who are regular visitors to your server the opportunity to be administrators. The administrator has the right to kick and ban those who violate the rules of the server and use cheats. Monitor their activities - make sure that their actions are exclusively lawful. For the convenience of administrators, install AMX mod on your server - with its help, the kick or ban menu will be called up with one key.
Step 4
Install a plugin with which you can start group voting of players. According to the results of the vote, the player against whom it is directed will be kicked if more than fifty percent of users vote for this result. This method is irreplaceable when there is no administrator on the server.
Step 5
Create a website dedicated to your server, which must have a forum. Open a special section in which players can upload demos and screenshots of obvious violations, as well as a section for appealing bans. In this case, you will receive an additional tool for monitoring the server, as well as feedback from those who could be unfairly banned.
Step 6
Give players once seen cheating a second chance. Use the gradation of the severity of punishment, for example, for the first violation - one day is banned, for the second - two weeks, for the third - two months. Be objective when reviewing demos and handling complaints of players suspected of cheating.
