Resetting the ink counter is necessary to continue using the refilled cartridges. There are even several options for performing this procedure for HP inkjet inks.
Necessary
- - a set for refilling the cartridge;
- - Scotch.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a refill kit that matches your cartridge model. You can find them in computer stores in your city, as well as in specialized stores and services that serve copying equipment. Download the chipset diagram of your cartridge model online. Please note that the request must be performed exactly according to the name of the model, since even for similar ones, different contact schemes can be used. The circuit must be suitable for zeroing.
Step 2
If you do not know how to refill HP inkjet cartridges, download detailed instructions specifically for your model, since the capacity can vary completely. Use for refueling special kits that are suitable for your printing device, never save on consumables, as this can ruin your printer.
Step 3
Place the cartridge on the work surface with the contacts facing up and the printhead facing you. Tape the contact marked in the instructions on the cartridge. Please note that only one of them should be glued. Insert the cartridge into the printer and wait for the message that the cartridge is not printable. Print the internal text of the printer, and then remove the cartridge.
Step 4
Tape the second contact of the printer according to the instructions in the diagram for your model. Insert the cartridge into the printer, print again, and then remove it. Peel off the tape from the first contact. Insert it back into the printing device, wait for it to be detected and remove it from the compartment again.
Step 5
Remove the tape from all contacts, wipe them with a lint-free cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. Insert the cartridge into the printer, after which it should be recognized in the system as 100% full. Naturally, reprogram the cartridge after refilling.
