Word is one of the most popular programs for typing just about any text. At the same time, sometimes in a long story, you need to highlight some thought. To do this, you can use color highlighting.
Change color using the top menu
Every time the user opens the program, in addition to the main field intended for typing, he sees an extensive menu at the top of the page, which allows him to perform all the basic operations most conveniently and quickly. This also applies to the operation of highlighting text with color.
In order to change the font color, select the "Home" tab in the top menu - as a rule, it is this tab that opens by default when you open the program. The entire menu of this tab is divided into several blocks, the contents of which are indicated at the bottom of each block.
To highlight text with color, you need to pay attention to the second block from the left, indicated by the word "Font". This block contains the letter "A", which is a link to the color change menu. By clicking on a letter, the user causes a drop-down of a tab with a palette of colors that he can use for the text he is typing.
It is important to keep in mind that there are several ways to change the color. Firstly, you can change the color of the text that has already been typed: for this, you need to hold down the left mouse button, select the required section of the text, and then select the color that you want to give the selected fragment in the mentioned menu.
In addition, you can ask the program to immediately type the text in the desired color. To do this, before starting the set, you should select the desired color using the considered menu, and all words in the future will be of exactly this color. At the same time, do not forget to return the black color of the text in the same way after the need for highlighting words with color disappears.
Change color using the mouse menu
The second way to change the font color is to use the mouse. Some users claim that it is much more convenient, but there is no consensus on this matter. It should be borne in mind that using the mouse, as in the case of the top menu, allows you to both change the color of already typed text, and apply the color setting to future text.
In order to do this, you must press the right mouse button. This action will cause a menu to appear, in which you must select the "Font" item. This selection will result in a dropdown of the tab, which will very much resemble a similar tab when using the top menu. However, at the same time, it contains more options for changing the font, collected in one menu, so the user needs to focus specifically on changing the color.
This can be done by choosing the desired shade from the presented palette. As a result, the selected text or the text that you type after that will have exactly that color.
