Step 1
Write down all the numbers that you see on the scoreboard to take readings of the electricity meter. One complete revolution of the counting mechanism corresponds to ten thousand kilowatts per hour. The accounting period is considered to be a month. Therefore, in order to find out how much electricity you have consumed over a specified period, you need to know the readings of an electric meter a month ago. After that, knowing the current readings of the electricity meter, subtract these two digits and multiply them by the established tariff. As a result, you will receive the amount to be paid.
Step 2
Please note that any apartment electricity meter has an error. Therefore, if you have doubts about the correctness of the testimony, then they are partially justified. This error for a standard meter is 2.5. This means that if in fact you used up 100 kW, then the meter can show both 102.5 and 97.5 kW. If you even reset your apartment electricity meter, then this cannot be a guarantee that it will work without error.
Step 3
Pay attention to the disk of your electricity meter. It rotates constantly, even when not a single electrical appliance in your apartment is plugged in and not a single light is on. This does not mean that the electricity meter is faulty. Your doorbell is always plugged into the electrical network, and if no one rings it, this does not mean that it does not consume electricity. In addition, the electric meter also consumes electricity to some extent, but these costs are minimal and have little effect on the overall balance.
Step 4
According to the rules of operation, you can take readings from the electric meter yourself, but, nevertheless, you must, at least once every six months, provide the admission of officials of the organization for taking readings, inspection and maintenance work of the aforementioned device.
