The computer for many, many users has become both a workplace and a means of communication, and an entertainment center - in general, almost a place of permanent residence. It is necessary to adjust the monitor settings so that it is comfortable to work with it. One of the important design elements of the "Desktop" is its drawing, or wallpaper.
Instructions
Step 1
As a wallpaper, you can choose a picture from the C: / WINDOWS / Web / Wallpaper folder, any digital photo from your own stock, or download from one of the sites that provide this service for free. The image should not be too dark or bright, so as not to tire the eyes. It is also important that the desktop icons stand out well in the background image, so avoid too colorful pictures with many small details.
Step 2
If your computer is running Windows XP, right-click on an empty space on the "Desktop" and check the "Properties" command. Go to the "Desktop" tab and examine the images from the "Wallpaper" list. Select a suitable image with the cursor and click "Apply".
Step 3
If you are not satisfied with the options offered by Windows, click the Browse button and specify the path to the picture that you decided to make the background. If the image is too small, you can stretch it to full screen, place it in the center of the desktop, or tile the desktop with this image. To do this, select the required action from the "Location" list. If you have placed a small photo in the center of the screen, you can choose a tone from the "Color" list, which will become the background for it.
Step 4
You can do it differently. Right-click on the picture and select the option "Set as Desktop Picture" from the drop-down menu.
Step 5
To download a suitable wallpaper from the Internet, go to a site that offers such a service, enter the wallpaper theme (for example, "Nature" or "Car") in the search bar and click the "Search" button. After selecting an image, you can either download it to your computer, or immediately make it the background of your desktop by selecting the appropriate command from the drop-down menu.
Step 6
If you have Windows 7 installed, you can use a slideshow as wallpaper. Go to the "Control Panel" and click on the "Change Desktop Background" icon. From the Image Locations list, select the folder that contains the images you want. It should be borne in mind that all slides must be in one folder.
Step 7
Uncheck the boxes next to the pictures you do not want to include in your slideshow. In the Image Layout list, check the layout format for the slides. From the "Change image …" list, select an interval for changing slides. To confirm your choice, click "Save Changes".
