Many people, due to their duty, are forced to travel on long business trips, and for this they need to take a laptop with them, which contains all the necessary information on work. But with constant travel, the appearance of the laptop will deteriorate. In order for its appearance to be preserved, you need to buy a cover or a special bag for it. But personally, you would like something new and unusual, in general, not the same as everyone else's. A self-made laptop case will look very original and stylish.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose the fabric and color for your future laptop sleeve. A good option for this case would be thin leather or suede, you can of course use fabric, but always thick cotton or upholstery.

Step 2

Measure the dimensions of your laptop (length, width, and thickness).

Make a pattern according to the given dimensions, which should consist of two rectangular parts, while one part of the pattern should be about 10 cm larger than the other.

Step 3

Cut rectangles out of the fabric according to the pattern, you can also cut the lining and a layer of vinyl or thick plastic film for waterproofing according to the same pattern.

Step 4

Fold all parts of one side of the pattern one by one, for example, the main fabric, then a thick plastic wrap, a thin layer of batting or synthetic winterizer and a lining fabric, do the same with the second part of the pattern.

Step 5

Sew along the perimeter first one part of the pattern, making allowances of about 3 cm, and then the second part of the pattern. Now the resulting elements need to be quilted using any pattern. Then process the edges with tape.

Step 6

Join the two pieces of the pattern together and sew them. Then sew on the Velcro tape, while one part of the tape is sewn to the closing flap, and then to the base of the envelope. You can also use buttons or buttons with loop loops, but loops are not always appropriate if you often have to open the cover.

Step 7

A laptop case is not only a useful thing for you, but can also be a good gift for relatives and friends, because it is made by hand. Of course, you can come up with many finishing options, for example, for a woman it can be decorated with beads or stones, which will give it sophistication and originality. But for men, it is advisable to choose stricter tones for the cover, this will give it more solidity.
