When entering text from the keyboard into any form, you probably noticed that the usual image of the cursor arrow was replaced by a thin vertical stripe. Meanwhile, the changed cursor in small text input fields is still superfluous.

Cursor Hider software

Instructions

Step 1

Using the Cursor Hider program, you can control the display parameters of the pointer, i.e. hide it if necessary. You can download this utility at the following link https://www.softexe.com/cursorhider.html. On the downloaded page, click on the Download top menu item, then click on the anchor link cursorhider.exe. Install the program and run it by double clicking on the icon on the desktop.

Step 2

After starting the program, an icon with the image of a standard mouse pointer in Windows systems will appear in the system tray. In fact, when you run the utility, the settings you need are already automatically enabled. Open a text document and start typing the first sentence. Pay attention to the cursor, it disappears the first time you press the key. To use it again, you need to move the mouse.

Step 3

For one reason or another, you may need to disable the program for a while. It is not at all necessary to completely unload the process from memory, click on the program icon and activate the option to temporarily disable the program using the Disable command. The program icon will not disappear from the system one, but it will look like a crossed out pointer.

Step 4

To go to the program settings, click on its icon, and then on the Options item, or when the program menu appears, press the key combination alt="Image" + O (Latin). In the window that opens, go to the Cursor Hider tab, on which you need to check the boxes opposite the Hide pointer and Hide mouse items. You can also set the time intervals after which the mouse cursor will automatically disappear from your screen. For example, when reading the text of an e-book or article, you do not use the mouse. So that it does not bother you, it is recommended to change the value of the dropdown list from 1-2 seconds to 5-6 while reading.

Step 5

As for the settings of the program itself, which hides the cursor, that's where they ended. On other tabs, you will find settings for additional parameters, for example, launching applications by pressing hot keys, etc., which not every user needs.
