Instructions
Step 1
To install free Office, download the OpenOffice.org installer from https://www.openoffice.org/download. When the installation is complete, open the installer and click the "Run" button. The Preparing to Install OpenOffice.org 3.4 window will open, click Next.
Step 2
The unpacked installation files will be copied to your hard drive. Optionally, you can specify a folder to save them. To do this, click the "Browse" button and in the opened folder browse window select the one you need. Then click the Unpack button. Wait a bit while the files are unpacked.
Step 3
In the OpenOffice.org setup wizard that opens, click Next. You can enter user information (username and organization). Check the box next to the required item - for whom to install this program: for all users (by default) or just for you. Click Next again.
Step 4
Choose the installation type that best suits your needs: Typical (default) or Custom (Recommended for advanced users). Click Next. If you chose a typical installation, in the Ready to Install window, click the Install button. By default, this window has a checkbox next to the words "Create a shortcut on the desktop". You can remove it if you wish.
Step 5
The installation window for the selected software components will open. Wait while the wizard installs the program. Then the installation completion window will open. Click Finish to exit the wizard.
Step 6
Select and open the desired application from the Start menu -> All Programs, or double-click the OpenOffice.org shortcut on your desktop. Now you can work with the applications and documents you want.
