Install the Everest program on your computer. With its help, you can diagnose the software and work with the settings. You can easily find this utility on the Internet, or buy a disc in a store. Install the program. It will take a few minutes. Run the program. As soon as the window opens, enter the "Operating System" item. The following window will open. In it you need to find the item "Operating system kernel type". Multiprocessor Free (32-bit) denotes the platform type. That is, your computer platform is 32-bit. In place of the number 32, there can be other values, for example, 64.

If you do not need the Everest program, but you still need to know the platform, then you can do it differently. Click on the button on the "Start" taskbar. Go to the "Control Panel" and click on the word "System". On a later version of Windows, this might be System and Security. In this menu, select the "System" item. The tab that opens displays all the information about your PC.

And another way to find out the type of platform is to use the CPU-Z utility. To do this, download it to your computer. After installation, view the report provided by the utility.
