To make the document look unusual, the user can add a border around its edge. Such a small and, it seems, almost imperceptible to do can affect the whole impression of the document as a whole.
Necessary
MS Office Word program
Instructions
Step 1
Open your already printed document or choose to create a new one using the "File" menu. Decide on the appearance of your future frame, taking into account the purpose of the document.
Step 2
Do the work on the text - format it so that you don't have to make any changes in terms of font, margins, position, alignment, and so on. This is necessary so that there is no offset of the text on the page.
Step 3
Open the text formatting menu, select the Borders and Fill tab. If you don't see one, expand the entire list. This is true for Word programs with the old-style menu (versions before 2007).
Step 4
If you have Microsoft Office Word 2007 or higher installed, then, while on the main tab, click on the small icon with four squares. Click on the drop-down arrow menu if you want to adjust a specific parameter.
Step 5
Open the page settings tab in the new menu. Make sure that the future frame is located around the entire page of the document, and not just the printed text. Click on the dropdown menu of frame thumbnails, choose any one you like for your document. Adjust its parameters and location - you can, for example, make a frame around the entire document, or you can apply it only to its title page.
Step 6
Make the remaining adjustments in the Document Options window. You can also easily replace the border with another by deleting the current one and seeing how your document will look like with another. Also try using design templates.
Step 7
Save the document using the "Save as …" menu item. When choosing a format, take into account in which version of MS Office your file will be opened in the future, since the.docx extension is not supported by older versions of the program (before 2007).
