Many modern computer games contain popular music tracks. If you want to listen to your favorite tracks from a computer game in the player, but the soundtrack is not sold separately, then you can cut out the music.
Necessary
TV tuner with input capture software (for Xbox or Xbox 360)
Instructions
Step 1
To cut music from a Playstation game, insert the disc into your computer's drive. Make sure your computer is reading the disc and close the autorun window.
Step 2
Download the MF Audio program. Use this program if the disc is intended for PlayStation 1 or 2. Playstation 3 games are released on Blu-ray discs from which you cannot extract files.
Step 3
Specify the location where the audio track is located in the Input Audio File panel. Select the original file format and after extracting it from the game. Click the Save as button, enter a name and specify a folder to save the audio file.
Step 4
To cut music from a Nintendo Wii game, insert the game disc into your computer's drive. Close the autorun window that appears.
Step 5
Download Trucha. Open this program and start Wii Disc Read. After the disc is fully loaded, extract the audio files. The extracted files are saved to your computer in the Music or Audio folder.
Step 6
Download and install Winamp media player and a special plugin for it. This plugin will read files of various game formats. Launch Winamp, import the audio files extracted by Trucha, and then export them to the desired audio format.
Step 7
To cut music from an Xbox or Xbox 360 game, connect the set-top box to a TV tuner on your computer. Microsoft doesn't allow Xbox discs to be played anywhere other than on a set-top box. Launch the input capture software and start recording the music you like from the game. The capture software will automatically detect the audio format for recording, so there is no need to convert the file.
Step 8
Move the recorded music file to the desired folder on your computer or MP3 player for later use.
