Modern DVD players support a wide variety of video formats and allow you to play CDs burned on your computer. Thanks to the presence of special programs, PC users can themselves compose and burn DVD-discs with the video files they need.
Instructions
Step 1
To burn video files to disc, use the Ashampoo Burning Studio program, it is very simple and convenient to use. If you just want to burn video files to a disc without creating a menu, start the program, in the window that opens, select the option "Burn files and folders - Create new CD-DVD-Blu-ray disc".
Step 2
Click the Add button and select the video files you plan to record, usually avi or mpeg files. After selecting the files, click the Finish button. At the bottom of the window, you will see a disk fill scale. If there is still free space, you can add new files by clicking the Add button again.
Step 3
Click the Next button, insert the DVD into your drive. After checking the disk by the program, click the "Burn" button. The video files you selected will be burned to disk. When you open a disc in a DVD player, you will see a list of files and you can choose to play any of them.
Step 4
If you want to create a DVD video disc, use the Burn Movies - Create Video DVD option. Select the files you need, they can be in almost any common format and will be automatically recoded to DVD when burned. After adding files, select a menu option on the right side of the window. In the menu, the movie names are not edited and will correspond to the file names. After selecting the menu, click "Next".
Step 5
Insert the DVD and click the Burn button. Keep in mind that it takes a long time to convert video files to DVD format, so it may take an hour or more to burn a disc, depending on the speed of your computer.
Step 6
A widespread program for burning discs is Nero in different versions. The latest versions, from the ninth and higher, are quite "heavy", so their installation on a computer can take about half an hour. Run the program, select "Data logging" in the appeared window. Click the "Add" button, select the files to burn. Click the Burn button, insert the DVD. When the recording is complete, a corresponding message will appear.
Step 7
In the event that you want to create a DVD with a beautiful full menu, use programs such as Super DVD Creator and DVD-Lab Pro. It will take some time to master them, but the result is worth it.
