In some cases, it is much more convenient to use the wma format than the mp3 format, since with the same bit rates, the wma file has a slightly smaller size. Conversion from mp3 format to wma format is carried out using special programs called converters.
Instructions
Step 1
To convert an audio file from format to format, you need a converter program. Conversion programs, like all software in general, are subdivided into paid and free ones. Free software solutions can be used to convert an audio file intended for listening in a domestic environment. One such free software is Audio Transcoder, which can be downloaded from the link https://www.audio-transcoder.com/downloads/audiotranscoderru.exe. After downloading, install the program on your computer and run it
Step 2
In the main window of the program, click on the "Add file" button. The built-in file manager of the application will open, with which you will need to specify the path to the file to be converted. You can also add a file by dragging the file with the mouse pointer into the program window. After adding the file to the program, select the format of the final audio recording (in our case, wma), as well as the options for its quality - 64 Kb / s, 92 Kb / s, and so on. Then select the folder where the converted file will be saved and click on the "Convert" button. After a while (depending on the power of the computer) the file in wma format will appear in the folder you specified.
Step 3
Audio Transcoder provides a wide range of functions for converting various audio files, and also provides the most convenient ways to convert them. For example, after installation, the application is integrated into the explorer context menu, after which the conversion can be launched by right-clicking on any mp3 file saved on the computer.
