In fashion magazines, photographs of models are prepared in graphic editors to make the skin glossy, without the slightest flaw. Even a non-professional can achieve such a result in Adobe Photoshop.

Necessary

Adobe Photoshop 7 or higher

Instructions

Step 1

Open the original image (Ctrl + O) and copy (Ctrl + J).

Step 2

First of all, you need to get rid of major imperfections, such as acne or oily sheen. Take the Clone Stamp Tool (S), move it to a healthy area of the skin and, while holding Alt on the keyboard, click the mouse at the same time. Then release and sketch in the "bad" area. Remove any major imperfections in the same way. The pressing force for the stamp is 20-30%.

Step 3

Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J). Expand the Filter menu, then Blur and click Gaussian Blur. The blur should be aggressive to make the skin smooth. Adjust the blur radius and apply the effect (OK).

Step 4

Press F7 and the button marked with a small red circle. Select the fill tool (G) with black and click within the illustration. The image should "show up".

Step 5

Take a brush (B) with the following parameters: color white, pressure 30-35 percent, medium size, with blurred edges. Then process the image with it. Do not brush over hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, lips, teeth and facial folds. Try not to get too close to these areas.

Merge all layers (Ctrl + E).

Step 6

Sometimes glossy leather has a "plastic effect". To get rid of this effect, you need to create a new texture for the skin. Create a copy of the current image (Ctrl + J). Choose from the menu "Filter" - "Texture" and then "Grain". Apply the effect. In the Layers panel (F7) set the type to "Glow" and adjust the opacity. Glue the layers.

Step 7

Create a layer (choose New from the Layer menu). With a large, soft-edged brush, apply the blush and brush over the lips. You can also apply light makeup to highlight your eyes. After that select the Overlay Blend Type and adjust the Opacity. Glue the layers.

Step 8

Make a new copy of the layer. Select the Sponge tool (default - O) and go over the teeth with this tool. The teeth will then be perfectly white.

Step 9

Duplicate the layer. Take a large soft-edged Highlight Tool and slightly increase the highlights on your hair to give it a healthy shine. To top it off, you can blur the background a little. We have already described how to do this in the lesson “How to blur the background”. Save the finished result.
