Punto Switcher is used to automatically switch layouts while typing in Windows. The program is one of the most functional for those who often work with texts in various languages and often change the keyboard language. The utility is also capable of performing automatic character substitution.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the latest version of the program from the official website of the developer. The latest versions usually fix all bugs that occurred during the use of previous releases, and also often add new features that make it more convenient to use the application. Install by running the downloaded file and following the instructions on the screen.
Step 2
Run the program and right-click on the icon that appears in the Windows tray, which is located on the right side of the bottom "Start" panel. In the context menu, select the "Settings" item. You will see a window with parameters that you can change in accordance with your requirements for text input.

In the settings window, you can choose the options that suit you. The "General" - "General" tab contains settings for automatic substitution, language selection and input rules. In the "Additional" section, you can configure the correction of abbreviations, capital letters, exclude accidental pressing of Caps Lock, etc. You can also specify the keys you want to use to switch the input language.
Step 4
The Hotkeys section of the left panel will allow you to configure whether certain program functions are enabled or disabled by pressing buttons on the keyboard while entering text. In the "Programs-exclusions" section, you can specify the utilities in which you would not want to use Punto Switcher. "Switching rules" configure the parameters according to which the substitution will be performed. There you can also specify exclusion words that you would not want to change as you type. Keyboard sounds are configured in the "Sounds" item. After editing the parameters, click "OK".
Step 5
To enable automatic replacement, right-click on the Punto Switcher language icon again and highlight the "Auto-switch" item. This will allow the program to automatically switch the language to the desired one if you forgot to change the layout. In the "Clipboard" field, you can use the fragments that you copied while entering text. Unlike the standard clipboard, here you can store several clippings of text and switch between them.
Step 6
Setting up the use of the program is completed. Open any text application and start typing using the keyboard buttons and hotkeys that you specified during the setup process.
