Step 1
Purchase an additional network card. It will be required to connect two computers to a local network. Install this network card in a computer that is already connected to the Internet. If there is no such PC yet, then select it and connect the network adapter to it. If you are going to use a laptop as a server, then you will need a USB-LAN adapter.
Step 2
Now connect two network cards of different computers to each other using a network cable to solve this problem. Turn on both computers to automatically detect a new LAN on each one. Open the list of local networks of the first PC.

Go to the properties of the network card connected to the second computer. Open the TCP / IP (v4) Internet Protocol Settings. Check the box next to Use the following IP address. Enter its value, which will be 198.198.198.1. Click the "Ok" button.

Now set up a connection to the server on this computer. Make sure the selected PC can access the Internet. Open the properties for this connection. Find the "Access" menu and open it. Check the box next to the item responsible for allowing this connection to be used by other computers on the local network. In the next line, select the desired network. Click the "OK" button to save the settings.
Step 5
Now configure the parameters of the network interface card of the second computer. To do this, go to the properties of the Internet Protocol TCP / IP (v4). Enter the value for the IP address 198.198.198. 2. Be sure to fill in the "Default Gateway" and "Preferred DNS Server" items. They require you to enter the value of the IP address of the first computer. Save the settings for this menu. Refresh the internet connection of the first PC. Make sure the second computer can access the Internet.
