Turn on the router and connect it to one of the computers with a network cable. Open a browser and enter the router's IP address in the address bar. You can see it in the instructions for the device. Open the setup menu of the wireless access point. If you have an English version of the firmware, then look for the Wireless Setup Wizard item.

Specify the name of your future network, the password for it and the type of data encryption. As for the last parameter, it is better to use the WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK protocol, because the WEP type is obsolete and unreliable.

Purchase two Wi-Fi adapters for computers. You can use adapters without the function of creating an access point. Connect them to computers and install the drivers and software that came with the devices. Activate the search for wireless networks, select the wireless network you created and connect to it. This method allows you to configure the access point so that other laptops and computers can be connected to it in the future.

Open the Network and Sharing Center and go to the Manage Wireless Networks menu. Click Add and select Create Computer-to-Computer Network.
