Processes take up the resources of the central processor and memory of random access memory (RAM), i.e. slow down the computer's performance. Without some, the operating system will not work and cannot be turned off. Unnecessary processes can be terminated using the Task Manager, but first try closing running programs and see if these processes are disabled.
