There are several reasons to update the BIOS, from the need to install new hardware that is incompatible with the current BIOS version, to improving the performance of the computer and expanding its functions. If you need to update the BIOS version on your computer, first of all, you need to find out which version of the I / O operating system is currently installed.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to find out the BIOS version on your computer, you can restart the computer and read the installed version on the screen at the time of boot.
Step 2
If you are not sure that you have correctly identified the version, you can use one of the programs that show information about all the components of your computer, for example CPU-Z or EVEREST. You can download and install one of these programs from the official websites of the developers: www.cpuid.com and www.lavalys.com
Step 3
If you have installed the CPU-Z program, run it. When launched, the program will scan all components of your system. It may take a little time. Then a window will open where on the Mainboard tab you will see the BIOS section and the version of your system.
Step 4
If you have installed the EVEREST program, then when it starts it will also scan all the computer hardware and open the control window. In the menu on the left, select the "System Board" section and open the BIOS item. In the window on the right, you will see the version of the I / O operating system.
