Denver is the so-called gentleman's kit for a website developer. It is a set of programs that turn your machine into a server for testing and installing sites. It includes PHP extensions, MySQL databases, Perl, Apache. All this has already been assembled and configured, so all that remains is to install this set on your machine and start developing sites.

Step 1
Download denver and click on it twice. Denver installation starts. Press the Enter key. We follow the instructions that appear. Choose a directory for storing Denver files and, accordingly, your site. Usually the folder C: / WebServers is suggested. You can, of course, install it on another partition of the disk. But it is not recommended to create another directory and install in it.
Step 2
Select a drive letter to create a virtual partition for the server.

Then the copying of the program files will start. It lasts a little, and after that you will be offered two options. It is not worth delving into the details of the essence of this choice, since here it is more a question of experience with Denver, and not a theory of the solution. By default, you will be presented with the first option. So choose it. You can experiment with the choice of the second option and decide for yourself which suits you best.
Step 4
The installation will then complete. Select "Set shortcuts to desktop" and click on the "Run" shortcut. Execution of programs and the server starts. Open the browser and enter https:// localhost / denwer /. The "Hurray, it's working" page should appear. Now you can get to work.
