Step 1
Various programs are used for remote control of a computer, including the "Remote desktop" installed in Windows. In the event that for some reason the connection with the remote computer is interrupted, just close the program window and then start it again.

The need to restart another computer via Remote Desktop can be caused by various reasons. For example, you have made some changes in the computer settings, but they can take effect only after a reboot. How you do it depends on which program you are using for remote control. So, if you can control the mouse, then the restart is carried out in the usual way: "Start" - "Shutdown" - "Restart".
Step 3
In the event that there is no mouse control, you will need a console (command line) to reboot. Console mode is available in many remote control programs. Open a command prompt, type shutdown -r -f -t 0 and press Enter. The computer will restart. Command parameters: - r indicates that the computer should be restarted; -f forcibly terminates all running applications; -t specifies the shutdown time, in seconds; 0 - shutdown time 0 seconds. If you set a time other than 0, a close window appears with information about the remaining time.

When working with remote control programs, do not forget about security measures. For example, very often Radmin users do not change the default password. As a result, such a computer becomes open even for a novice hacker who knows how to scan a range of ip-addresses on an open port 4899 (which is what Radmin opens). Security measures should also be observed when working with Windows Remote Desktop. In particular, configure password entry.
