Console firmware is a justified step for those who want not only to run unlicensed software, but also to expand the capabilities of their set-top box. But you must take into account that for the firmware you will have to disassemble your console.
It is necessary
Removable drive, computer, SATA cable, screwdriver, JungleFlasher program, console firmware file
Instructions
Step 1
Update the Dashboard Console to the version you need. To do this, use a removable storage device such as a portable hard drive. Format the drive by connecting it with a USB cable to your computer. Set the file system to FAT32 when formatting. When the process is complete, copy the unzipped version of Dashboard to removable media.
Step 2
Connect the console to the removable drive and only then start the console. When the system boots up, a window will appear on the screen prompting you to update from the drive. Click "Yes" and wait for the process to finish. Please note that the console may need to be restarted after the update is complete. After rebooting the system, the previous firmware will be reset.
Step 3
Remove the main panel of the box, then remove the lower left leg of the attachment and move the two latches. In the next step, carefully pull out the four latches and lift off the plastic top. After that, go to the opposite side of the box and slide the last six latches.
Step 4
Disconnect the top and bottom plugs. Remove the warranty sticker, and then proceed to bend the four fasteners from the front. This will completely remove the lower console cover and remove the button that opens the drive. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the six screws that serve as an obstacle to further advance. Remove the plugs by opening the two latches.
Step 5
Connect your console to your computer using a SATA cable. Attach one end of the cord to the console and the other end to the motherboard. Download the JungleFlasher software and the required firmware version in advance. Install port I / O 32 on your computer and launch the set-top box.
Step 6
Run JungleFlasher.exe from the archive, select the desired device and "unlock" the console drive, activating the service mode on it. Next, under 360 Tools, select Benq UnLock and exit JungleFlasher. Then the original software of the system is automatically read and after a series of simple operations the process is started that writes the new firmware. At the end of this process, the drive is taken out of the service mode to the operating mode.
Step 7
Assemble the console by repeating the steps in the same way, but in reverse order. Start the console and check the firmware version. It must match the one you set.
