It is difficult nowadays to find such a user who would not have to install computer programs. They can be downloaded from the Internet or found on disks. Programs can be in the form of an installation file, packed into an archive, or run without installation at all. Installing any program on a laptop will be no different from a similar procedure for a regular desktop computer.
Instructions
Step 1
To install the program correctly, you need to make sure there is free space on your computer's hard drive. But don't worry - not every program can fill up all the free space on modern large hard drives. The configuration of your device must also meet the system requirements of the program. For example, powerful graphics editors or video processing programs can work normally only on sufficiently powerful computers.
Step 2
If you have a program in the form of an installation file, run it and follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard. By default, the Installation Wizard offers the most optimal settings and you just need to timely click the "Next" button and wait for the installation to complete. After completing these simple steps, a shortcut to the installed program will appear on your desktop, by double-clicking on it, you can launch it.
Step 3
The zipped installation file must first be unpacked. To do this, right-click on the archive icon and select Extract Files. After completing the extraction of the files, a folder will be created in which you will find the file with which you can perform the installation. You already know how to do this.
Step 4
If the program does not require installation, the user needs to copy the program folder to a safe place on the hard drive where it cannot be accidentally deleted. Then in the folder you need to find the program icon with which it starts. Typically, these icons stand out from all other files in the folder. To be sure for sure, switch the display mode of the files in the folder. Right-click in an empty space inside the folder and select the "View" menu item and then the "Table" command. Find the file that is identified as "Application". This will be the required file to run the program.
Step 5
To make it easier for you to use the program, right-click on the found icon and select "Send", and then "Desktop (create shortcut)". A shortcut, or link, to the program launch file will be placed on the desktop. Now you don't have to open the program folder every time and look for the desired icon in it - it will always be in your sight.
