In our time of digital technology, fewer and fewer people turn to a photo studio to develop and print photographs. Then, when there are hundreds or even thousands of photos in your digital photo album, the question arises - how and where is it better to store photos.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a shared photo folder on your computer, if you don't already have one, and, following the general-to-specific principle, create a directory structure for yourself.
Step 2
Thus, create folders at the next level following the "Photos" shared folder with the names of the years. Then, in these folders, create folders with names, which will contain descriptions of any events, trips, photo sessions, and so on. Before describing, enter timestamps in the form of shooting dates in the format HH. MM. YY. For example, one of these folders may have the name "2011-20-05 - Yura's Birthday".
Step 3
You will always have photographs that cannot be attributed to any dated sections. These photographs include some random impressions, as well as shooting some of their finished handicrafts, and anything in that spirit. In this case, create folders without dates, come up with some name that would describe the pictures placed in it. Hint: you can use the name "Miscellaneous".
Step 4
After you already have a kind of photo album ready, which can only be replenished, save a copy of it on another computer: if you have a laptop, then on it, but if you do not have one - on a computer to your family or friends.
Step 5
One such copy will not be enough if you really value photographs a lot. Also buy a good quality DVD in a reliable box. And using a burning program (Nero distribution is recommended) create a multisession disc project and burn a copy of the album on it.
Step 6
As the album grows, be sure to add new pictures to the copies of your album as well. Thus, the likelihood of keeping your digital photos is very high.
