Watching short clips that you shot on a trip or at a party will be much easier if these clips are collected into one video file. The way to accomplish this task depends on the result you want to get.

Step 1
If all you need is to sequentially merge several video fragments without additional editing, you can use one of the options of the VirtualDub program to complete the task. To do this, open the first clip in the video editor. After using the key combination Ctrl + O, a window will open in which you can select the desired video.
Step 2
Load the second clip in order into the program. This can be done using the Append AVI segment option from the File menu. Add all other video fragments in the same way if you have more than two.
Step 3
Save the file assembled from separate fragments using the Save as AVI command from the File menu.
Step 4
If you have at your disposal clips shot simultaneously by several cameras, sequential gluing of the files is indispensable. It is more convenient to work with such clips in a program that supports multiple video tracks and multi-camera mode. Although, if you get creative, you can collect these clips using the Movie Maker.
Step 5
To do this, launch the application and drag your videos into the window of this program by selecting the necessary files and holding the left mouse button.
Step 6
Select the clip from which the video will begin and transfer it to the timeline using the Ctrl + D hotkeys.
Step 7
Find a video that was shot at the same time as the first, but from a different point. Place this clip on the timeline as well. Find the same event in the first and second video.
Step 8
Cut the first clip in the place where you can substitute a fragment from the second video so that the action taking place in the second video is a continuation of the action in the first one. So, for example, if the first video is cut off where the person began to raise his hand, the second video must have the same person continuing to raise his hand. To cut a clip, place the pointer of the current frame at the position of the future cut and use the "Divide" option from the "Clip" menu.
Step 9
Crop the second movie so that one of its fragments starts with an action that continues the events from the first movie. Using the mouse, drag the cut fragment and paste it to the place where you split the first clip.
Step 10
View the result in the player window and find a fragment where you can again substitute a segment of the video shot from a different angle. If possible, try to alternate between large, medium and general shots.
Step 11
Delete unnecessary fragments by selecting them on the artboard and pressing the Delete key. Save the collected video using the "Save Movie File" option from the "File" menu.
