Pop-ups are windows that appear without the user's permission while browsing the web. They can either contain intrusive ads or be useful, providing access to various functions of the resource. You can remove pop-ups in Mozilla Firefox through the browser settings.
Instructions
Step 1
In the default Mozilla Firefox settings, there is already a pop-up blocker. If you made changes to the options and allowed them to be displayed, simply prevent the browser from showing the annoying pop-ups again. To do this, launch the browser in the usual way for yourself. In the top menu bar, select the "Tools" item, in the drop-down menu, click on the "Settings" item with the left mouse button. A new window will open.
Step 2
If you cannot find the menu bar, move the cursor to the visible part of the bar in the browser window (for example, at the top) and right-click on it. In the drop-down menu, place a marker opposite the "Menu bar" item by clicking on it with the left mouse button. If you can't even see your browser window, then you have full screen mode enabled. Move the cursor to the top edge of the screen and wait for the panel to slide down, or press the F11 key.
Step 3
In the "Settings" window that opens, go to the "Content" tab. Place a marker in the "Block pop-ups" box. If any Internet resource uses pop-up windows that may be useful to you, add the address of this site to the exceptions. To do this, click on the "Exceptions" button opposite the item just marked. In the new window "Allowed Sites - Pop-ups" in the empty field, enter the address of the site you want to add to the list. Click on the "Allow" button and close the window. Click on the OK button in the settings window.
Step 4
You can also install add-ons for the Mozilla Firefox browser, which will make your network more comfortable and get rid of annoying ads. To get these add-ons, open the Add-ons item from the Tools menu. In the "Get add-ons" section, select the one that suits you, go to the official Mozilla Firefox website and install the add-on from there.
