If you are on Microsoft Windows and use the programs included with Microsoft Office to work with documents, you can install the Arial Unicode MS font, which supports Japanese. With this Japanese language support, you can easily surf Japanese web pages and read Japanese electronic texts.

Step 1
First, you need to make sure that your computer does not actually have Japanese language support. To do this, take a quick test: 日本語。 - see the hieroglyphs? If you see squares instead of Japanese characters, then this article is for you.
Step 2
You can then begin installing Japanese language support. To read Japanese texts and web pages, we need a font that reflects the three main systems of writing in modern Japanese: kanji (Chinese characters), and hiraganu and katakana (two Japanese syllabic alphabets). This font is called Arial Unicode MS. It can be downloaded, for example, here - https://www.jpcat.ru/files.html?start=0. Although it may seem cumbersome (it has more than 20 MB), it will come in handy anyway, since it is versatile and displays many other languages (Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, Georgian, etc.)
Step 3
After you download the font, move it to the C: / Windows / Fonts folder for fonts. That's all. Now any web pages and symbols of any national alphabets will be freely displayed on your computer. If you want to write in Japanese yourself, you will also need hieroglyphic writing support. To do this, you need a Microsoft Windows installation disc.
Step 4
So, your licensed (or maybe not so) Windows disk is next to the computer. You need to go to the control panel (menu "Start" - "Control Panel"), and then select the tab (folder) "Regional and Language Options".
Step 5
In this folder, select the "Advanced" tab and check the box next to the inscription "Install support for languages with writing in hieroglyphs", then click "OK". Then insert the Microsoft Windows disc and follow all the instructions of the installation program.
Step 6
After you have enabled support for hieroglyphic writing, go to the "Control Panel" again and select the following items: "Regional and Language Options" - "Languages" - "More", and then click the "Add" button.

This will open a list of keyboard layouts, you need to select Japanese. That's it, full Japanese language support is installed. By the way, full support for the Japanese language does not prejudice the display and writing of the Russian and English languages in any way, you just now have three languages instead of two.
